Durban, South Africa, Demonstrating the power of cross-border logistics excellence, Spherical Logistics (PTY) Ltd., in collaboration with Marinair Freight Ltd, has successfully overseen the international shipment and discharge of four Hitachi EH4000AC-3 dump truck buckets a critical component for mining operations in Southern Africa.

The oversized cargo originated from Shanghai, China, arriving smoothly at the Port of Durban, South Africa, where it was discharged without delays or incidents, showcasing the coordination and efficiency of both logistics teams.

The operation marks a major milestone in the journey of these massive components, with the final destination set for Solwezi, Zambia, home to some of the region’s most important mining operations.

The next phase of the journey is set to begin this Wednesday, as the cargo embarks on an abnormal-load road transport operation from Durban to Solwezi. This leg involves a meticulously planned logistics strategy, employing specialised trailers and escort vehicles to navigate the challenging route across international borders and varied terrain.

This successful collaboration reflects the seamless integration of global freight forwarding and local logistical expertise, reinforcing both companies' reputations as leaders in handling complex industrial shipments.
